Singer-actor Jeong Jin-woon, 29, a member of K-pop boy band 2AM, will return to the entertainment industry after completing his mandatory military service.

K팝 보이그룹 2AM의 멤버인 가수 겸 배우 정진운(29)이 군복무를 마치고 연예계에 복귀한다.

Jeong's agency Mystic Story said Friday that he has decided to take the lead role in the upcoming horror-comedy film "Only I can see you" (unofficial direct translation).

그의 소속사 미스틱스토리 측은 금요일 정진운이 곧 개봉할 공포 코미디 영화 '나만 보이니'에서 주연을 맡는다고 밝혔다.

"I am excited to work on this genre film," he said through the agency. "Since this is my first work since my discharge, I ask for your support."

그는 소속사를 통해 "이런 장르의 영화를 작업하게 돼 기쁘다"라며 "제대 후 첫 작품이기니 여러분의 많은 성원을 부탁한다"고 전했다.

The film, directed by Im Yong-jae, is about a movie production staff encountering a supernatural force that causes paranormal phenomena.

임용재 감독이 연출을 맡은 이 영화는 영화 촬영팀이 초자연적인 힘을 만나 불가사의한 현상을 일으키는 내용이다.

Jeong will play the production head, Jang-geun, who leads fellow staffers to fight off the mysterious entity.

정진운은 촬영팀 장근 역을 맡아 동료 스태프들을 이끌고 신비한 존재와 싸운다.

Along with the actor, Solbin from K-pop girl group Laboum and actor Kwak Hee-sung will star in the film.

그와 함께 K팝 걸그룹 라붐의 솔빈과 배우 곽희성이 이 영화에 출연한다.

This will be his first on-screen acting role since completing his mandatory duty in the Army. He was discharged last October after serving in the military band for 19 months.

이 영화는 그가 육군에서 군복무를 마친 이후 첫 스크린 출연작이다. 그는 군악대에서 19개월간 복무한 후 지난해 10월 제대했다.

The film will hit local theaters during the first half of this year.

이 영화는 올 상반기에 국내 극장가에 개봉될 예정이다.
