Nexon to release 7 new games in 2nd half of year
넥슨, 신작 게임 7종 하반기 출시 예정
Nexon unveiled seven new PC online and mobile games that will be released during the second half of the year, Thursday, including two designed to target the Japanese game market.
넥슨이 일본시장을 공략하기 위해 만든 2종의 게임을 비롯하여 총 7종의 신작 게임을 올해 하반기에 선보일 예정이라고 목요일 밝혔다.
"We have been preparing a variety of PC online and mobile games that will enhance Nexon's competitive edge," Nexon Vice President Kim Hyun said during a media conference in Seoul. "We will continue to release high-quality new content that can satisfy many gamers."
넥슨 김현 부사장은 서울 서초구 넥슨 아레나에서 열린 '넥슨 스페셜 데이' 간담회에서 "온라인과 모바일 플랫폼 구분 없이 넥슨의 경쟁력을 더해줄 다양한 게임을 준비 중"이라며 "많은 분이 만족할 수 있는 완성도 높은 콘텐츠를 지속적으로 선보이겠다"고 전했다.
The nation's leading game developer and publisher said it will release new mobile games ― "TalesWeaver M," "The Kingdom of the Winds: Yeon" and "MapleStory Odyssey" ― based on the gaming giant's profitable and popular intellectual property (IP).
넥슨은 기존 히트작 IP(지식재산권)를 활용한 모바일 게임 '바람의 '테일즈위버M', '바람의 나라:연', '메이플스토리 오디세이'를 출시할 것이라고 밝혔다.
The firm will also release mobile role-playing game (RPG), "Counterside," and PC online game, "KurtzPel." "Revisions: Next Stage" and "Ark Resona" are being developed to target the Japanese game market, the company said.
회사는 모바일 롤플레잉 게임(RPG) '카운터사이드'와 온라인 PC게임 '커츠펠'도 선보일 계획이다. 넥슨은 신작 '리비전즈: 넥스트 스테이지'와 '아크 레조나'도 일본 게임 시장을 공략하기 위해 개발 중이라고 밝혔다.
The new mobile massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) "TalesWeaver M" is based on the storyline of the original version, the firm said, noting that the game will be filled with beautiful background music and high resolution 2D graphics. Gamers can enjoy a dynamic style of combat optimized for the mobile platform, the firm said.
새로운 모바일 MMORPG(대규모 다중접속역할수행게임)인 '테일즈위버M'이 테일즈위버 원작의 스토리를 그대로 구현했다고 언급하며 아름다운 배경음악(BGM)과 고해상도 2D 그래픽으로 가득하다고 전했다. 아울러 게이머들이 모바일 플랫폼에 최적화된 역동적인 전투를 즐길 수 있다고 덧붙였다.
The game company has also improved game content when developing "MapleStory Odyssey," it said, adding that it plans to carry out a closed beta test of the game on Aug. 21.
넥슨은 '메이플스토리 오디세이'를 개발해 게임 콘텐츠를 향상했다고 밝히며 비공개 시범 테스트(CBT)를 21일 시작할 예정이라고 전했다.
"Counterside," which the firm will unveil within the third quarter of the year, will offer gamers opportunities to form a team with attractive characters and map out strategies for combat. A new PC online game "KurtzPel" is a dual action game filled with animated graphics.
올해 3분기 출시 예정인 '카운터사이드'는 게이머들이 매력적인 캐릭터들을 골라 팀을 만들고 전투를 위한 전략을 직접 짤 수 있는 게임이다. 온라인 PC 게임 신작 '커츠펠'은 애니메이션 풍의 그래픽이 특징인 듀얼 액션게임이다.
The company said it is working to target the Japanese game market through "Revisions: Next Stage" and "Ark Resona." "Revisions: Next Stage" is a mobile game based on popular animation "Revisions" produced by Japanese anime director Goro Taniguchi. "Ark Resona" is a puzzle action game that will be released in Japan this summer.
