Angelina Jolie's son to become Yonsei student

앤젤리나 졸리 장남 매덕스, 연세대 신입생된다

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie's eldest son Maddox Jolie-Pitt will start classes at Yonsei University in September, the school confirmed, last week.

할리우드 스타 앤젤리나 졸리의 장남 매덕스 졸리-피트가 9월 연세대학교에 입학할 예정이라고 연세대 측이 지난주 밝혔다.

The confirmation followed a report in People magazine the previous day.

이는 미국 연예매체 피플지의 하루 전 보도에 이어 나왔다.

According to the university's communication office, Jolie-Pitt, 18, has been admitted to the Underwood International College to study life science and biotechnology. The lectures there are given in English.

연세대에 따르면 매덕스(18)는 연세대 언더우드 국제대학 생명화학공학 전공으로 입학했다. 언더우드 국제대학의 강의는 전부 영어로 진행된다.

He will spend his first year at the university's Songdo campus along with his classmates, according to the school.

학교 측에 따르면 매덕스는 동급생들과 함께 송도 캠퍼스에서 첫 1년을 보낼 예정이다.

The son and mother toured Yonsei University last November when she came here as a special envoy of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, raising speculation that he would enroll at Yonsei. Jolie-Pitt is the Hollywood star's adopted son from Cambodia and is said to be a big K-pop fan.

앞서 졸리가 지난해 11월 유엔난민기구(UNHCR) 특사 자격으로 한국을 방문했을 때, 아들 매덕스와 함께 연세대 캠퍼스를 견학했고 이로 인해 매덕스가 연세대에 입학할 것이라는 추측들이 나왔다. 매덕스 졸리-피트는 할리우드 스타 앤젤리나 졸리와 브래드 피트의 캄보디아 출신 입양아로 K팝에 관심이 많은 것으로 알려졌다.

According to the magazine, Jolie-Pitt is still in the U.S. getting ready to move to Korea and studying the Korean language intensively to prepare for his stay in Korea. The magazine also reported that Jolie will also come here in August to drop him off.

피플지에 따르면 매덕스는 현재 미국에서 한국으로 떠날 준비를 하며 한국어를 집중적으로 공부하고 있다. 졸리는 아들 매덕스의 입학을 위해 이달 한국을 다시 찾을 예정이다.

Jolie and her ex-husband Brad Pitt have six children, three of whom are adopted.

졸리와 그녀의 전남편 브래드 피트는 6명의 자녀를 두고 있으며, 이 중 3명은 입양자녀들이다.
