Patients who are bed-bound for a long time for recovery after surgery may develop bedsore. The following instructions are intended to prevent and minimize bedsore.
수술 후 장기적으로 움직이지 못하는 환자들은 욕창이 생길 수도 있다. 다음은 욕창을 예방하고 최소화하기 위한 안내이다.
1. Inspect the patient’s skin condition at least once a day.
1. 적어도 하루에 한 번은 환자의 피부 상태를 점검한다.
2. Make sure the patient’s gown stays dry. If wet, change him/her into another gown instantly.
2. 옷은 항상 마른 상태를 유지하고, 옷이 젖었다면 즉시 바꾸도록 한다.
3. Assist the patient with an air bed, or help him/her exercise his/her joints as much as possible even while lying down on the bed.
3. 공기 침대를 깔거나, 침상 안정 시에도 적절하게 관절이 가능한 한 크게 운동을 시행한다.
4. Moisturize the patient’s body well after a shower or a bath.
4. 피부가 건조하지 않도록 목욕이나 샤워 후에는 환자의 몸을 보습한다.
5. Make sure the patient’s diet is rich in calories, proteins, and other nutrients.
5. 건강에 좋은 음식, 특히 고칼로리와 고단백질 음식을 섭취하는 것이 중요하다.
6. Cleanse and dry the patient’s skin instantly after the patient urinates or takes stool.
6. 소변이나 대변을 본 후에는 즉시 피부를 청결히 하고 건조시킨다.
7. Sacks of hot water, used to massage or numb pain, can burn the patient’s skin. Avoid putting it directly on the patient’s skin or using it for more than 20 minutes.
7. 마사지 혹은 고통을 완화시킬 때 사용하는 뜨거운 물 주머니는 화상 위험이 있으니 피부에 직접 대거나 20분 이상 하지 않는다.
8. Should the patient develop rashes, inform his/her nurse immediately, and massage the area with a lubricant.
8. 환부가 빨갛게 부어 오르면 간호사에게 알리고 윤활제를 이용해 마사지를 시행한다.
